R1: Start with a sl st (3m55s).
Make *12 chs* rep. 4 times, add 4 more chs. Make 5 chs (5m40s),
count from up and in the 9th ch work 1 dc to form 1st square (6m05s),
make 2 chs, sk 2 chs from the base and work 1 dc in the 3rd ch to create 2nd square (6m15s),
make 2 chs, sk 2 chs from the base and work 1 dc in the 3rd ch to create 3rd square, make 2 chs, sk 2 chs from the base and work 1 dc in the 3rd ch to create the 4th square and continue creating squares until reaching to the last ch from the base (7m07s).
There will be a jasmine flower each 4 squares.
R2: Make 5 chs. Turn the work over (7m57s).
Work 1 dc in the dc from the previous Round. Make 1 ch (lift it to create 1st yo), work 1 puff stitch (several puff stitches form a star stitch (8m37s)), which is 4 yo (1st one is from the ch so work 3 more yo), don’t close them together and work another puff stitch in next dc from the base and work another 4 yo in the next dc from the base. Now yarn 3 puff stitches together (10m03s)
and strengthen it with 1 ch (lift it to create 1st yo), work 3 more yo to form the 4th petal of the jasmine flower, yarn it over to close it and make one more yo (10m47s).
This 4 petals made of puff stitch each, form together a group which is called a star stitch. Now we have half of the flower done. Work 1 dc in next dc from the base. As you can see we have used 4 squares to create one flower (10m07s).
Make 2 chs, work 1 dc in next dc from the base. Now let’s form another flower – 3 petals – close – work last petal. Make 1 ch (lift it to create 1st yo), work 3 more yo to create a puff stitch, don’t close them together and work another 2 puff stitches – one in each dc from the base (12m12s).
Now yarn 3 puff stitches together and strengthen it with 1 ch (lift it to create 1st yo), work 3 more yo to form the 4th petal of the jasmine flower, make 2 yo to close it. Work 1 dc in next dc from the base. Again we have used 4 squares to create a jasmine flower. Let’s make another flower (13m05s)
Make 2 chs, work 1 dc in next dc from the base. Make 1 ch (lift it to create 1st yo), work 3 more yo to create a puff stitch, don’t close them together and work another 2 puff stitches – one in each dc from the base. Now yarn 3 puff stitches together and strengthen it with 1 ch (lift it to create 1st yo), work 3 more yo to form the 4th petal of the jasmine flower, make 2 yo to close it. Work 1 dc in next dc from the base.
Now let’s use last 4 squares for the last jasmine flour (13m55s).
As you can see after finishing the las flower there is 1 square left (14m40s).
We will end the Round the same way as we have started it. Make 2 chs and sk 2 chs from the base, work 1 dc in the 3rd ch from the base. There will be 1 square free on each side of the work.
R3: Make 5 chs and turn the work over. Work 1 dc in the 1st dc from the base to create 1st square (15m43s).
Make 2 chs, now let’s finish the full jasmine flower – work 4 yo and close them with a yo to create the 5th petal, make 2 chs, work another 4 yo and close with a yo to create the 6th petal, make 2 chs and work 1 dc in next dc from the base (16m40s).
Note again that we have used 4 squares for a flower and now we have completed a full jasmine flower of 6 petals.
Make 2 chs (17m08s),
work 1 dc in next dc from the base. Make 2 chs, work 2 puff stitches to create last 2 petals of the jasmine flower with 2 chs in between. Make 2 chs and work 1 dc in next dc from the base (17m58s).
Make 2 chs, work 1 dc in next dc from the base. Make 2 chs, work 2 puff stitches to create last 2 petals of the 3rd jasmine flower with 2 chs in between (18m45s). Make 2 chs and work 1 dc in next dc from the base.
Make 2 chs, work 1 dc in next dc from the base. Make 2 chs, work 2 puff stitches to create last 2 petals of the 4th jasmine flower with 2 chs in between. Make 2 chs and work 1 dc in next dc from the base. Make 2 more chs and 1 dc in next dc from the base to complete the last square of the R3 (19m28s).
R4: Turn the work over. Make 5 chs and work 1 dc in the dc from the base. Create 2 more squares – *make 2 chs, work 1 dc in the next dc from the base* rep. 2 times – now in the last petal of the flower from the previous Round we will create another jasmine flower (20m30s).
Work 1 dc in next dc from the base (21m28s).
Make 2 chs and work 1 dc in next dc from the base to create a square. Make 1 ch (lift it to create 1st yo), work 3 more yo to create a puff stitch, don’t close them together and work another 2 puff stitches – one in each dc from the base. Now yarn 3 puff stitches together (22m35s)
and strengthen it with 1 ch (lift it to create 1st yo), work 3 more yo to form the 4th petal of the jasmine flower, make 2 yo to close it. Work 1 dc in next dc from the base (22m55s).
Make 2 chs and work 1 dc in next dc from the base to create a square. Make 1 ch (lift it to create 1st yo), work 3 more yo to create a puff stitch, don’t close them together and work another 2 puff stitches – one in each dc from the base (23m40s).
Now yarn 3 puff stitches together and strengthen it with 1 ch (lift it to create 1st yo), work 3 more yo to form the 4th petal of the jasmine flower, make 2 yo to close it. Work 1 dc in next dc from the base (23m56s).
In this Round we have formed just 3 flowers. *Make 2 chs, work 1 dc in next dc from the base* rep. 3 times to make 3 squares. Make 5 chs.
R5: Turn the work over. *Make 2 chs, work 1 dc in next dc from the base* rep. 3 times to make 3 squares. Now let’s complete the flours from the previous Round. Make 2 chs, work 2 puff stitches separated by 2 chs, make 2 chs and work 1 dc in next dc from the base (25m34s). Now the 1st flower from the R4 is completed.

Honestly, this tutorial is ridiculous. The add, 4 them add 5…why not say chain 57? And what the heck is 5m40s, or whatever. And the tutorial stops before the jasmine stitch.
there is a full tutorial actually, see again please
Are there further instructions for the Jasmine flower ? All I see is the first round.
Any written instructions ?
Is there a video in English ?
Eventually I worked it out through sheer determination by watching the video a million times, and trial and error- more of that than anything else. Making mistakes is part of the learning process. I understand Italian so could work out the Spanish but the tutor goes too fast and then you have dogs barking and cocks crowing which really messes up your concentration. I also had no idea what the weird numbers and letters in brackets meant. I like the result, it’s very so thank you for sharing it with us.

Please tell me what weight of yarn was used and what size hook.

Stunning
U R Really Good!
Thanks A Zillion 4 This Tutorial!!
This translation is impossible to follow. Right at the start of the second row, it says “work DC into DC from previous round.” Which one? The last dc of the previous round or the one before that? A stitch pattern would be way more helpful. This is just quoting the video which doesnt help if you’re not watching it.
I found your instructions very easy to follow my flowers came out beautiful!
Thank you for your kind feedback, Marjorie!
