Beautiful Lady Crochet Elephant

Elephants are the perfect toys for the kiddos. They are nice, soft and squishy. Also, they are perfectly safe, if only you replace plastic elements for embroidery to avoid choking hazard. Children love elephants, because they are nice, exotic, fun to play and easy to take with you. Kiddos also feel safe around elephants and like them as their companion.
They can be used to make a tea party with the rest of the toys and invite their friends to it. The best thing is, they are not that hard to make – these projects are indeed intended to intermediate crocheters, but with a little patience, even an ambitious beginner will be able to do it. It will be a perfect gift and nobody will have the same one, that’s the magical thing about crochet – it’s unique and made with love, made by you accordingly to your mood and your own imagination. The receiving end will most certainly appreciate your effort. Take a look at the examples below to check the current trends and search for links to free patterns under the pictures.

Hello
sorry my english
I´m Brazilian
I´m making this recipe and i did not see the hind legs just the front
could you add?
i await your reply
thanks and sorry again.
it’s just repaired – Rear legs and Tail with gray thread were added
There are no instructions for the back legs. Do I follow instructions for the front legs? It says front legs x2. In the picture the back kegs look larger than the front. Also, the picture shows a tail but there are no instructions for a tail.
What does clouse mean
For the ears when it says to INC is that a chain stitch or a single crochet in the same stitch as the HDC?
I’m working on the head. Working on round 32…. I have checked all rows and counts. Round 32 says Sc 40, dec 7 times and you have total stitches 48. The total on my count come to 47.
Also, above round 39 there is a line that says “in the 30th row, at a distance of 22st”…..it isn’t clear what that is for.
I think it’s for the eyes. Place in the 30th row, 12 spaces apart. That’s my guess
I had the same problem with row 32, but i just increased one somewhere in the middle of row 32 so I had enough.
I think I think the other one refers to where u should place ur eyes.☺
I have a question. Does row 32 where u dec go to top of head or bottom?
Thank you so much for this cute pattern. It is easy to understand. How can I send you a foto? I made it in Special DK from Stylecraft in Silver and Peach and crocheted eyes for a 6 month year old babygirl.
Stuck on row 33… beautiful pattern please help me out
What weight of yarn do you use? There are bernant blanket yarns and then baby bernant blanket yarns.
I also don’t understand row 32. Please help. Thanks for your beautiful work. Gail
Stuck on row 33… beautiful pattern please help me out
Hi Gail would you please help me with the Lady elephant. I’m not an experienced crocheter or pattern reader but I’m trying. Rnd 32 Sc in next 40sts, (dec) repeat 7 times (48)sts. Im not sure what happened with the trunk, it looks far to big though I can make it thinner by sewing it on the inside. Please help. Thankyou so much for allowing us to use these patterns. Regards Colleen
How big is the finished product using the blanket yarn?
Hi Nancy, please contact the author of this pattern to get more info 🙂
Rnd 32 should be……….Sc in next 7 st, dec in next stitch and repeat 6 times. This will give you a total of 48 stitches.
thank you Lynn, we’ve updated the pattern!
