R2-8: Continue working single crochets over the 8 loops to make 8 rounds in total. Close the button with a sl st. Always count to have 12 stitches in the round.

The petals

R1: Now we will work with the Tunisian stitch (6m04s). We will be increasing. Make 2 chs and work 1 st – together with the ch, there are 2 st – work 1 yo inwards and to end it put the yarn through the first st and then put it through both stitches to slip them together). Make 1 ch and work 2 st, together with the ch there are 3 st – work 1 yo inwards and to end it put the yarn through the first st to slip with with a ch, and then put the yarn through both stitches together to slip them, and then put the yarn through the 2nd and the 3rd st to slip them together). Make 1 ch and work 4 st (there will be 4 st together with a ch and you will be slipping each two together). Make 1 ch and work 5 st (there will be 5 st together with a ch and you will be slipping each two together as before). Make 1 ch and work 6 st (there will be 6 st together with a ch and you will be slipping each two together). Make 1 ch and work 7 st (there will be 7 st together with a ch and you will be slipping each two together). Make 1 ch and work 8 st (there will be 8 st together with a ch and you will be slipping each two together).

Now we will be decreasing (8m32s). Make 2 chs, work 1 st and slip it together with a ch (the ch and the st will become one slip stitch now). Make another st and slip it together with a previous st. Work stitches in each st from the base (counting a stitch made of a ch and 1st st as a first stitch) in order to have 8 stitches in total. Work 1 yo inwards (09m01s) and slip each two stitches together (starting slipping the yo together with the 1st st). Use the last st  (9m12s) and make 1 ch and slip them together, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 7 st together with counting with the 1st st and you will be slipping each two together). We are decreasing now. Make 1 yo in the next st and slip each 2 stitches together. Use the last st (9m45s) and make 1 ch and slip them together, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 6 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together. Use the last st (10m08s) and make 1 ch and slip them together, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 5 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together. Use the last st (10m32s) and make 1 ch and slip them together, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 4 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together. Use the last st (10m50s) and make 1 ch and slip them together, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 3 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together. Use the last st (11m17s) and make 1 ch and slip them together, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 2 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together. Use the last st (11m27s) make 1 ch and slip them together, (there will be just 1 st now), make 1 yo in next st and slip both st together. Now there is 1st petal done.

R2: Move to the next 4 chs (11m42s). Work 1 yo inwards and to end it slip it together with the last st. Make 2 chs. Make 1 yo (11m51s). Make 1 ch and slip it together with the last st, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 2 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together.

Continue increasing. Make 1 ch. Use the last st (11m59s) and slip it together with the ch, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 3 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together. Make 1 ch. Use the last st (12m10s) and slip it together with the ch, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 4 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together. Use the last st and make 1 ch and slip them together, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 5 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together.

Use the last st and make 1 ch and slip them together, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 6 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together. Use the last st and make 1 ch and slip them together, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 7 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together. Use the last st and make 1 ch and slip them together, work 1 ch and 1 yo in each stitch (there will be 8 st together with counting with the 1st st), make 1 yo in next st and slip each two st together. Continue the same way in order to have 6 petals (12m30s).

The back side of the petals

R1: Turn the work over. Work 1 sl st in the middle of the circle (arch). Slip 2 stitches (12m47s) together in the middle. Make 8 chs. Move to the next circle (arch) and make a sl st in the middle. Work 8 chs. Move to the next circle (arch) and close the st with sc in the middle of the circle. Work 8 chs. Continue the same way in order to make an arch for each of the 6 petals.

Move to the next circle and make a sl st in the middle of the arch. Make 8 chs. Move to another circle and make a sl st in the middle of it. Move to the next circle and close the st with sc in the middle of the circle. Slip the first one from the center (13m40s) with a sc and work sc to have 4 in total. Make 8 chs. Make 4 yo. Work 4 trc starting in the 4th sc. Make (4m24s) 12 chs. Work 4 yo. Make in the 1st sc. Work 4 trc. Make 8 chs (15m01s) and close it with a sl st. Make 4 sc (15m21s) and sl the last st in the next arch and work 4 more sc. Make 8 chs (15m55s). Make 4 yo. Work 4 trc. Make 12 chs. Make 4 yo. Work 4 trc (16m36s). Make 8 chs. Mak a sl st  and move to the next arch (17m18s). Work 4 sc, slip and work another 4 sc. Make 8 chs. Make 4 yo. Work 4 trc. Continue the same way for other petals in order to have the same pattern in each arch. Slip 4 st (18m17s) together. Make 1 yo (18m38s) and 10 hdc. Make 2 chs, 1 yo, work 10 hdc in the 2nd half of the petal. Move to the center of another arch (20m14s), make a sl st and work 10 hdc. Make 2 chs and 1 yo. Work 10 hdc in the 2nd part of the arch. Slip next stitches (21m24s) together to reach to the next arch. Make 1 yo (21m52s) and work 10 hdc. Make 2 chs and 1 yo and work 10 hdc on the 2nd side of the arch. Slip in the next arch (22m30s), make a yo and work 10 hdc. Continue the same way in order to complete the Round.

R2: Slip st (22m56s) to reach to the next arch. Work 1 hdc in between each hdc (23m39s) – you will have 9 in total. Work 3 hdc in the center (the pick of the arch) and make 2 chs and 3 hdc again in the same place. Make 1 yo and work 9 hdc in the other side of the petal. Make a sl st and move to the next petal. *Work 1 hdc in between each hdc* rep. 9 times. Work 3 hdc in the center (the pick of the arch) and make 2 chs and 3 hdc again in the same place. Work 9 hdc in between each hdc. Keep slipping until reaching next petal (26m34s). complete the round the same way. Finish the work slipping the yarn into it in order to hide it (27m05s).

R3: Use another yarn and make a slip (27m21s) and work 12 hdc. Make 2 chs and work 12 hdc on the other side of the arch. Slip the yarn, cut it and make a sl st. complete the round working the same way on each group of 12 chs that are joining the petals.

Always use smaller crochet for that work – for example for the yarn nr. 3 use the crochet of 2 mm.
