Materials:

  • a pink yarn or any other colour you wish
  • a stitch marker
  • a needle

Stitches used:

  • a magic ring – MR
  • a single crochet – sc
  • a single crochet cluster increase – 2 sc in the same stitch

R1: Let’s start with a MR and make 5 sc on it.

R2: Then work 5 increases (which means 2 sc in the same stitch). That makes 10 sc in total in our circumference.

R3: To continue work 5 sc and 5 increases to have 15 sc in total in the circumference.

R4: Work 30 sc.

Work one more cup and cut the yarn of the new cup. Don’t cut the yarn of the first one as we will be working on it.

Next step is joining both cups. To continue crocheting the 1st cup, make a sc in any stitch of the last circumference of the cup with the yarn cut. Place your stitch marker over there.

R5: Now work 15 sc in each cup (30 sc in total on the the last circumference of both cups).

R6: Remove the stitch marker and work another 30 sc.

R7: Start this Round with a decrease and put the stitch marker. Work 8 sc and make one more decrease. Work another 8 sc and a decrease. Work 8 more sc. Remember to end the Round with sc (and not with a decrease). In case you start the Round with sc, you must finish it with a decrease.

R8: Remove the stitch marker. Work 7 sc and a decrease. Work another 7 sc and a decrease. Work 7 more sc and a decrease.

R9: Remove the stitch marker. Work 6 sc and a decrease. Work another 6 sc and a decrease. Work 6 more sc and a decrease.

R10: Remove the stitch marker. Work 5 sc and a decrease. Work another 5 sc and a decrease. Work 5 more sc and a decrease.

R11: Remove the stitch marker. Work 4 sc and a decrease. Work another 4 sc and a decrease. Work 4 more sc and a decrease.

R12: Remove the stitch marker. Work 3 sc and a decrease. Work another 3 sc and a decrease. Work 3 more sc and a decrease.

It’s time to fill your heart to make sure that it keeps the shape. You can use any synthetic material.

R13: Remove the stitch marker. Work 2 sc and a decrease. Work another 2 sc and a decrease. Work 2 more sc and a decrease.

R14: Make only decreases.

Cut the yarn but leave it long to be able to close your heart.

We will be closing it using the needle stitching the front loops. In the end just tighten it up pulling the yarn. Put the needle through the heart from the bottom to the top. Then stitch the whole, that was created by joining two cups together. Now hide the yarn and cut it.

I hope that you liked the project! See you soon!
