The first wing

R1: Start with a slip stitch. Make 8 chs. Join 1st and last ch with a sl st to create a circle. Make 3 chs. Work 6 dc in the circle.

R2: Make 3 chs that will represent a dc and turn the work over. Work 2 dc in the next stitch to create an increase of dc. Work 2 dc in next 2 stitches to have 3 increases in total. Work 3 dc in next stitches (1 dc in each stitch).

R3: Make 4 chs and turn the work over. Make 2 yo and work 1 trc in the next stitch. Make 2 yo and work one more trc in the same stitch to make an increase of trc. In the next stitch make an increase of dc (which is 2 dc in the same space). Make 2 chs and work a sl st in the next stitch.

Make 2 chs and work 2 dc (one in each stitch). Work an increase of dc.

Make a ch and cut the yarn. Now we will crochet on the back of our work. Start where shown on the photo below:

You can now use a different colour yarn to make a border on the wing.

R5: Make 3 chs and work 1 dc in the next stitch. Work 3 increases of dc.

Make 1 sc and a sl st. Cut the yarn. Continue in the place shown below:

Go to the second wing and work 1 ch with a border’s colour yarn. Make 2 sc (1 sc in each st). Work 2 increases of sc. Make 2 sc (1 sc in 1 st) and make a sl st in the next st. Cut the yarn.

The second wing

R1: Make 3 chs in the middle of the circle. Work 6 dc inside the circle.
