Easy Crochet Flower for beginners.

Today we present an easy crochet flower. You can use it for any type of decoration. You can join the materials – it will look as great with crochet as with jewelry. It can be a beautiful detail on a crochet cap, a hair band, a clasp or even a hair slide. Enjoy!

Perfect crochet decoration for your clothes

MATERIALS:

• a woollen yarn number 4: red and white (you can use any two colours, you can also make your flower using just one colour)
• a crochet of 3.5 mm

STITCHES USED:

• a puff stitch which is an incomplete stitch, very easy and fast to crochet
• a chain stitch/ stitches (ch/ chs)
• a slip stitch (sl st)
• a single crochet (sc)
• a yarn over (yo)

R1: Make 1 ch so that it forms a knot. Make 4 chs. Come back to the 1^st point and join 4^th and 1^st ch with a sl st. Make 2 chs. What was made till now is representing 1 sc.

Make 1 ch for the separation and make 1 yo. Insert the hook in the center of the circle and work 1 sc.

Make 1 ch to separate from the previous stitch. Make 1 yo. Insert the hook in the center of the circle and work 1 sc.

Continue the same way in order to have 10 sc in total. Till now we have made 3 of them (counting our chain representation).

After having all 10 sc, insert the hook in the 2^nd ch and make a sl st to close the circle. Now you can cut the yarn to change the colour and form a knot. If you decide to crochet your flower using just one colour – don’t cut the yarn. Now we will use the white yarn and we will make 1 group of a puff stitch in each chain.

R2: Insert the hook in a chain in between two single crochets. Make a ch. Put the end of the yarn below. Make 3 chs. We won’t count this chains as a stitch. Now we will make a group of 5 puff stitches in the same stich where we have made chains.

Now we will make 1^st puff stitch. Make 1 yo and insert the hook in the stitch. Make the loop the same height as the group of chains. Put the crochet with a yo and insert it in the same stitch where we are working right now. Make the loop the same height as the others. Now we will make the 3^rd loop. Put the crochet with a yo and insert it in the same stitch. Make the 4^th and the 5^th loop the same way – all loops must be the same height. Draw the yarn through the 5 loops and close it together with the group of chains. Make 3 chs.

Insert the hook in the next chain from the base (in between two sc) and make a sl st. Make 3 chs. Put the crochet with a yo and insert it in the same stitch as the chains and work 5 loops of the same height in the same stitch. Draw the yarn through the 5 loops and close it together with the group of chains. Make 3 chs.

As you can see, we already have 2 groups of puff stitches – 1 puff stitch in 1 chain from the base.

Insert the hook in the 3^rd chain from the base (in between another two sc) and make a sl st. Make 3 chs. Put the crochet with a yo and insert it in the same stitch as the chains and work 5 loops of the same height in the same stitch from the base. Draw the yarn through the 5 loops and close it together with the group of chains. Make 3 chs.

Continue the same way in order to have 9 groups of puff stitches.

Insert the hook in the last chain from the base (in between last two sc) and make a sl st. Make 3 chs. Put the crochet with a yo and insert it in the same stitch as the chains and work 5 loops of the same height in the same stitch from the base. Draw the yarn through the 5 loops and close it together with the group of chains. Make 3 chs. Now insert the crochet in the 1^st chain where we have made our 1^st group of a puff stitch and make a sl st. Now we can cut the white yarn. The remaining yarn can be sut after adjusting the knot or can be hidden inside our work. In the video we will be hiding it and the rest will be cut.
