Today’s pattern is very easy to make. You can use it as decorative table cloths, centrepieces or ornaments for your crochet works, for example caps.

In the video we will use the woollen yarn folded in half to make ticker flowers, but you can also use a single woollen, or cotton yarn.

Designed by Milagros Ena

The middle

R1: Let’s start with a white yarn. Make a MR. Make 3 chs that will represent 1 dc. Work 11 dc (12 dc in total counting with chs). Working last dc incorporate the yarn to hide it. End the Round with a sl st.

The petals

R2: Make 1 ch incorporating a yellow yarn. This 1 ch will represent 1 sc when we will be working petals. Make 10 chs more. Work 1 sc in the same place as the 1st ch of this Round. Make 3 chs. Turn your work a little bit and make a yo. Work 10 dc.

Make 2 chs and work another 10 dc on the other side of the petal. Now the 1st petal is completed.

Work 1 sc in the next dc from the base. Make 4 chs. Join the current petal with the previous one with 1 ch worked in the 6th dc from the top of the 1st petal. This way we have already 5 chs worked in the current petal.

Make 5 more chs to have 10 chs in total. Work 1 sc in the same place as the 1st sc of this petal. Make 3 chs.

Turn the work a little bit and work 10 dc in the loop of 4 chs first worked in this petal.

Turn the work a little bit and work 10 dc in the loop of 4 chs first worked in this petal. Make 2 chs.

Work 10 dc in the loop of chs but on its other side. Now there is a 2nd petal ready!

Now we will repeat the same all the Round.

*Work 1 sc in the next dc from the base.

Make 4 chs and join them with a ch in the 6th ch of the previous petal.

Make 5 more chs. Work 1 sc in the same place as the 1st sc of this petal. Make 3 chs. Turn the work and make 10 dc in the loop of the 4 chs. Make 2 chs and work 10 dc in the other side of the loop of chains* rep. until having 11 petals in total.

Make half of the 12th petal.

Make 2 chs. Work only 5 dc in the loop of chs. Make a sl st in the pick of the 1st petal. Now make 5 more chs in the same loop of chs. Work 1 sc in the 1st sc of the 1st petal to close the Round. Make 1 ch and cut the yarn.

The leafs

R3: Take the green yarn and incorporate in in the 5th dc from the pick of the petal – in the place where we worked 1 sc (the place where 2 petals are joined). Make 5 chs that will represent 1 sc. Go to the 2nd petal.

Work 1 sc in the place where we have joined the petals. Make 8 chs and turn the work over. Work 1 sc in the same sc that we have started the Round.

Make 2 chs. Work 1 sc that will represent 1 dc in the loop of chains. Turn the work over. Work 7 more dc in the loop of chs to have 8 dc in total.

Make 2 chs. Work 1 sc of the height of the last dc to create a sharp pick of the leaf. Work 8 dc in the other side of the loop of chs.

Work 1 sc again in the same sc where we started. The 1st leaf is ready!

*Make 4 chs. Work 1 sc in the union place. Make 8 chs. Turn the work over and work 1 sc in the same sc. Make 2 chs. Work 1 sc in the loop of chs. Turn the work over and work 7 dc in the loop of chs to have 8 dc in total. Make 2 chs. Work 1 sc in the height of the last dc. Work 8 dc in the other side of the loop of chs. Work 1 sc in the starting sc* rep. until having 11 leafs in total.

Having last 4 chs make 1 sc in the place where we started the Round. Make 8 chs. Turn the work over and make 1 sc in the same place. Make 2 chs. Work 1 sc in the loop of chs. Turn the work over and work 7 dc in the loop of chs to have 8 dc in total. Make 2 chs. Work 1 sc in the height of the last dc. Work 8 dc in the other side of the loop of chs. Work a sl st in the starting sc. Cut the yarn.

Our flower is now ready!
