If you are looking for inspiration to make your next baby blanket, you are in the right place. Crocheters love squares, because they are so versatile – you can use them in whatever way you want.

Whether it’s a baby shower in your calendar or your mother-in-law’s birthday, you may consider using crochet squares to make a beautiful gift. These little rectangular pieces can be joined together to create a placemat, table runner, bag or blanket, but work on their own just fine, too! Make a bunch and call them a set of coasters. Experiment with colors, as you may want to wander from sweet candy hues and go for something more subdued and elegant. Take a look at examples below and search for links to free patterns under the pictures.
