Squares in crochet are one of the most beloved by designers, because they are versatile and give unlimited possibilities to play with textures and patterns. Such square can be used in many ways – you can make a bunch of them and join them together to make a big bedspread, for example.

Windmills of my Mind Square

These adorable squares will become your go-to pattern for coasters and blankets! Isn’t it lovely? In the photos you can see Atty’s project – the squares joined together to make a lovely cushion, but I bet the blanket would be beautiful as well! Black and white for the windmill motif works great, so use it as the repeating element while changing the colors of the background.

Acapulco 12″ Crochet Square

This crochet square reminds me of tiles, and that’s because it’s geometrical, multicolored and very eye-catching. Organize them as you like to create beautiful afghan, or experiment with colors to make it even more interesting.
