Beautiful 12″ Crochet Squares

If you want to make a big afghan without the fuss of crocheting back and forth 5 miles at once, I have a solution for you – afghan squares! By making smaller blocks, which are little pieces of art by themselves, you can easily control the size of the blanket you make, simply by making more or less of the elements.
They can be very intricate or easy and simple to make. Once you make enough of them, you can join them and add decorative border! Color scheme and the way these blocks are arranged is very important for the final effect, so play around before deciding on how to finish it.
