The pattern is quite easy but give it more time if you are a beginner. We will work the multiply of 5 chs. If you make two colours work make 1st Round with one colour that will not be repeated and the Rounds after that of other colour that will repeat.

R0: Start with a sl st and make 5 chs. Repeat multiply of 5 chs to have the work as long as you want.

R1: Work 3 chs (that will represent 1 dc) in the border, work 3 dc (1 dc in 1 ch from the base). Those 4 dc in total are not the part of the pattern.

Make 3 chs. Skip 2 chs from the base work 3 dc (1 dc in 1 ch from the base). This is the pattern that we will be repeating.

Make 3 chs. Skip 2 chs from the base work 3 dc (1 dc in 1 ch from the base). This is the pattern that we will be repeating. Continue the same way until having 1 free ch from the base.

End the Round with a dc.

R2: Turn the work over. Make 3 chs in the border (that will represent 1 dc). Make 1 yo and work 1 back post dc in the next ch from the base. Work 2 more back post dc (divided by 1 yo) in the same dc. Continue the same way until having 1 free ch from the base.

Those 4 dc in total are again not the part of the pattern.

Let’s start the pattern. Make 3 chs. Move to the next group of dc from the base and work 3 dc (separated by 1 yo each) in the same dc.

Continue the same way until reaching till the end of the Round.

We will repeat the last Round now.

R3: Turn the work over. Make 3 chs in the border (that will represent 1 dc). Make 1 yo and work 1 back post dc in the 1st dc of the next group of dc from the base. Work 2 more back post dc (divided by 1 yo) in the same dc.

Continue the same way until having 1 free ch from the base. Work 1 back post dc in the 1st dc of the next group of dc from the base. Make 1 yo and work 1 dc in the same dc. Make 1 yo and work one more dc in the same dc.

To end this Round work 1 dc under the last dc from the previous Round.

Repeat that Round until having the size of your work that you want!
