Very easy crochet Marshmallow stitch to any project you want with the free written pattern and US terms

Materials:

  • a crochet hook of 3 mm
  • a woollen yarn of multiple colours

Stitches used

  • a chain(s) – ch(s)
  • a slip stitch – sl st
  • a single crochet – sc
  • a double crochet – dc

The pattern is a multiply of 4 or 8. There will be 64 chs in our work.

R1: Start with a sl st, make 64 chs and close it with a sl st to create a circle.

R2: Make 1 ch and 1 sc in the same stitch. *Make 3 chs, skip 3 chs from the base and work 1 sc in the 4th one* rep. until finishing the Round.

R3: Slip one stitch and make 3 chs that represent 1 dc and work 4 more dc to have 5 in total in the loop of 3 skipped chs from the previous round. *Work 5 dc in the next loop from the previous round* rep. until completing the Round.

Close the circle with a sl st.

R4: Work 1 sc and 3 chs. Work 10 front post dc without closing them – 1 dc in each stitch from the base. Close all of them together and make 3 chs. Work 1 sc in the next stitch.

Work 1 sc and make 3 chs. Make 1 yo and work 10 front post dc without closing. Close all of them together and make 3 chs. Work 1 sc in the next stitch.

Turn the work over. Make 3 chs. Make 1 yo and work 10 front post dc without closing them – 1 dc in each ch from the base. Close all of them together and make 3 chs. Work 1 sc in the next stitch.

Continue the same way to complete the Round. End the Round with a sl st.

R5: Change the colour of the yarn. Attach it with a sl st. Make 3 chs that represent 1 dc and work 4 more dc to have 5 dc in total. *Work 5 dc in the next loop* rep. until completing the Round.

End the Round with a sl st.

R6: Slip 5 stitches.
